Seascapes

Having lived in East Hampton my entire life, it's hard not to have an attachment to the Ocean.  I find it fascinating how many different elements are involved in formation of waves and how the ocean's effects on our environment go beyond that of what is contained below it's surface.  The combination of wind, air pressure, topography and interference of man made structures all have their independent and varying effect on our oceans.  Particles found in the oceans are also essential to the formation of clouds and play an instrumental part in the stability of our global environment.  One can see direct references to the elements within our seas, and also a combination of elements and their effects on society and the environment in my paintings.
